And that’s why many people are praising the perfect demonstration of respect by a Santa Claus for a little girl named Adley. The little girl firmly said “no” when he asked if she would like to sit on his lap. The interaction between the two turned into a viral clip that brings a very important lesson for parents and children.
Katie Love, Adley’s mother, told Today.com that she was impressed with how Santa Claus handled the situation and asked him to repeat what he had said to her daughter so that she could record a video with the message. “‘This is her body, and she is in control of her body,'” Santa explains in the video. “I asked if she wanted to sit on my lap, and she said, ‘No,’ and I said, ‘A way to defend herself. A way to say what you believe is true.'” He further emphasizes that the rule applies even to Santa Claus. No means no.
The clip quickly went viral and has already accumulated more than 2 million views on TikTok, with hundreds of people praising Santa Claus for his attitude. “He was made for this job.
